Through The Trees Collective (T3C) is a Black woman-owned business servicing BIPOC communities in the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
T3C exists at the intersection of multiple identities, which allows leadership to tap into the ancestral knowledge of the African Diaspora and beyond, and to serve as a facilitator for the next generation of diverse cultural changemakers.
All T3C programming is intended to create spaces where BIPOC individuals can come together to connect, while reclaiming their cultural connection to the outdoors and natural ways of healing.
Our approach is multi-generational, holistic, and interdisciplinary, as we aim to bridge the connection between generations, classes, and ideologies - recognizing that we all come from a collective root system that allows us to grow together in community and build a more sustainable future for all.
What We Believe
T3C believes that in order to truly understand ourselves:
We must gain knowledge of the 5 Elements - Air, Fire, Water, Earth, Ether - which are present in the Universe and within each of Us.
2. T3C believes that in order to truly heal ourselves:
We must go beyond seeing health as just physical and mental. We are interconnected beings made up of 5 Health Domains – Mental, Physical, Social, Emotional, and Spiritual. We cannot treat one domain without understanding and working with the others, in order to create 360 Wellness within ourselves.
3. T3C believes that in order to truly elevate ourselves:
We must tap into the powers and energies of the natural world that our ancestors utilized to attain a higher level of consciousness and wellness. We must reconnect ourselves with the Universal Energies that flow through ALL things.
4. T3C believes that in order to truly expand ourselves:
We must be aware of the interconnection between the Universe and Oneself - this relationship can be described as the Macrocosm and Microcosm. When we learn how one “cosmo” functions, we can then comprehend how the other functions - as they serve as mirrors to one another.
